At 01:46 on Saturday, 9 September, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Minsterley, Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Request from Police to assist with possible water rescue. Male did not enter water and no fire service action was required.
