At 07:49 on Saturday, 24 February, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Bridgnorth.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury and Tweedale. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Assistance given to West Mercia Police. Assistance from Hereford and Worcester fire service.
