At 18:27 on Monday, 16 September, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Fire in Newport.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

Incident involved 1 manitou alight which spread to small nearby farm building. Crews extinguished using 1 main jet and foam.
