At 20:42 on Saturday, 26 October, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Coach Fire in A5 Eastbound between Preston Island and Jct 7 M54.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Wellington.

Fire involving 100% of coach. 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets in use to extinguish fire. Thermal imaging camera used to check for any remaining hot spots.
