Shropshire firefighters donned chemical protection suits to tackle a reported ammonia leak during a planned training exercise at a county food production plant.

Two firefighters from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service have been picked for the England Fire Services Football Squad.

Firefighters and students are involved in a “training swap” as part of an agreement between Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service Training and Development Centre and a Telford college.

Fire officers have signed a formal partnership agreement with Telford College of Arts and Technology (TCAT) to work together.
