The Service’s Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) 2021-25, which assesses community risks in Shropshire, has been produced following an extensive twelve-week consultation period last year.

Consultation on the draft CRMP began on 6 July 2020 and ran until 30 September 2020.

The document, entitled Making Shropshire Safer, is required by Government and includes information about the Service’s objectives.

Telford-based building and civil engineering contractor McPhillips (Wellington) Limited have won a contract to modernise Telford Central fire station for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service on Stafford Park.  

Shropshire and Wrekin Fire Authority, the body that governs the service, plans to invest in the region of £10 million into improvements including an extension and enhancements to redevelop the station at Telford Central - originally built in the 1970s.

Firefighters in Shropshire are approaching 4,000 vaccinations delivered to residents since Friday, February 12. 

In just three weeks, around 60 operational and support staff have worked with NHS partners to train and be redeployed at three centres across Shropshire.
