At 10:38 on Friday, 30 June, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Bridgnorth.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Craven Arms, Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Tweedale. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

1 barn containing hay fully involved in fire. Crews using hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish.

At 23:00 on Thursday, 29 June, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Bridgnorth.

3 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

This incident involved approx 400 tonnes of straw and manure alight in a field. Crews extinguished using 4 hose reel jets and drag rakes.

Report of car on fire. On arrival of crews, 2 tons of fly tipped rubbish set alight in corn field. Crews extinguished using 2 hosereel jets and drag rakes.
