At 00:25 on Monday, 17 September, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Minsterley. A Fire Investigation officer was in attendance.

Reports of car fire in play area at rear of cemetery. One hatchback vehicle was fully involved in fire. Fire crews used 2 hose reel jets and 2 breathing apparatus.

At 19:29 on Saturday, 1 September, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Minsterley.

2 fire appliances including the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Church Stretton and Minsterley.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Out of control bonfire consisting of undergrowth approximately 50m x 3m. Fire being extinguished using 1 hosereel jet and a fogging lance from the 6 wheel off-road Pinzgaur appliance from Church Stretton.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Positive Pressure Ventilation
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving tumble dryer and cleaning fluids.

Reports of car in to building which involved one saloon car in to building. Fire crews cordoned off the area to make safe.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Minsterley, Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Air Ambulance.

Incident involving paraglider. Crews assisted ambulance crew to transfer casualty to air ambulance due to difficult terrain.

At 20:41 on Saturday, 2 June, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Flooding.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

• Portable pump

Also at the scene of the incident were: the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service (FESS) and the Police.

Fire Control have received numerous calls to flooding of domestic properties in Pontesbury. Crews attended, and dealt with the flooding using light portable pumps. Fire Service British Red Cross Emergency Response also attended to offer support and assistance to affected residents.
