3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

Road traffic collision involving 2 vehicles and a caravan. No persons trapped. Vehicles made safe by Fire Service personnel using small gear.

False alarm caused by accidental operation of test button on domestic smoke alarm

Smoke alarms cost as little as £5 and are available at most DIY stores. It is recommended that smoke alarms should be fitted on the ceiling one per floor and they should be 30cm away from walls or light fittings (Usually top and bottom of stairs). Smoke alarms should be tested weekly by pressing the button to briefly activate the alarm. Change the battery once a year (unless it's a ten year alarm) and gently vacuum the alarm twice a year to remove dust from the sensors.

Fire involving large bailer 4 acres of stubble and 30 tonne baled straw 4 Hose Reel Jets Beaters and fogging system were used to extinguish the fire
