At 03:45 on Saturday, 11 August, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Hedge Fire in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

This was a fire involving hedge that had spread to the property. A 74 year old male was escorted out of the property and led to safety by Fire Service Personnel. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 1 x 45mm jet in use.
