Fire at rear of garden involving approximately 20 meters squared of household waste. Crews extinguished using 2 hosereel jets and drag rakes. Advice given to occupiers.

Approximately 10 meters of hedgerow alight. Crews used 2 hose reel jets, thermal imaging camera, log saw and drag rakes to extinguish

At 18:58 on Sunday, 11 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Telford.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit and the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Minsterley, Telford Central, Tweedale and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Thermal imaging camera

Wildfire in field involving approximately 15 acres of crops which were destroyed by fire. A fire break has been created and crews are damping down perimeter and checking for hot spots. 3 Incident Support Units attended this incident as well for better access and to utilize fogging units. Farmer onsite using machinery to assist crews.

Incident involving fire which had spread to a shed and two garages as well as fence panels. Crews used 3 hose reel jets and one covering jet whilst wearing breathing apparatus. Crews have dampened down area and dragging out debris.
