2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

Crews have dealt with fire involving a ground floor kitchen in domestic property

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Prees, Wellington and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Oxygen first aid
• Small gear

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Road traffic collision involving one saloon car on its roof. No persons trapped. Crews made vehicle safe.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Oxygen first aid
• Positive Pressure Ventilation

Also at the scene of the incident were: the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service (FESS) and the Land Ambulance Service .

Fire involving computer in living room. Crews extinguished using 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet. Positive pressure ventilation used to clear smoke logging.

Persons Reported Fire

At 07:17 on Friday, 26 October, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Persons Reported Fire in Telford.

3 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Telford Central and Tweedale. Operations, Fire Investigation and Principal officers were in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Fire crews were called to reports of a property fire Park Lane, Woodside, Telford with persons unaccounted at 0715 hours Friday 26th October. Three appliances (Fire Engines) were mobilised to the incident from Telford and Tweedale. On arrival crews were confronted with a bungalow that was well alight. Breathing apparatus teams with hose reel jets were committed into the building to try and locate the 2 persons who were reported as missing by neighbours. Crews managed to locate and rescue a lady in her 80's before being forced to withdraw from the building as the roof collapsed. Crews were then re committed back into the building in the aftermath of the collapse to look for the remaining missing person. Following this additional search, crews found a body in the property which was pronounced as deceased at the scene. The fire has subsequently been brought under control with crews remaining on scene to damp down hot spots and to support Fire Investigation and Police Forensics. The early indications are that this fire is not suspicious however this is only a preliminary finding. SFRS wish to offer our deepest condolences to the family of those involved in this tragic incident. Community Fire Safety guidance and reassurance work will be carried out in the area throughout the weekend. We hope that the public are not alarmed by our presence and will engage with us so we can discuss their safety in the home. We will be asking people if they have working smoke alarms, an escape plan in the event of a fire or if they know of anybody vulnerable that we can help?
