4 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Crews were called to reports of 2 females threatening to jump into the river. This was a false alarm

At 07:29 on Wednesday, 6 March, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Bishops Castle.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Clun and Craven Arms. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Positive Pressure Ventilation
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

This incident was reported as an automatic fire alarm. However, on arrival, crews discovered a small fire in a domestic property. Property 100% smokelogged. Crews extinguished fire and cleared smoke logging with positive pressure ventilation.

Small fire involving food materials on cooker hob. Extinguished prior to arrival. 2 elderly residents assisted from property by crews, and treated on scene by Ambulance crews. Fire investigation carried out. Assistance from Hereford & Worcester Fire Service.
