At 11:30 on Saturday, 15 February, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Flooding.
18 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Bishops Castle, Bridgnorth, Church Stretton, Cleobury Mortimer, Clun, Craven Arms, Hodnet, Ludlow, Minsterley, Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury, Telford and Wellington.
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service , the Police, Shropshire Council and Telford and Wrekin Council.
Shropshire Fire Control have received a high volume of calls which have been attended by crews since 23:30 mainly involving severe flooding across the county.

House Fire

At 00:56 on Wednesday, 31 July, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Shifnal.
4 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Albrighton, Shrewsbury, Telford and Wellington. Operations, Fire Investigation and Safety officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service , the Police and Shropshire Council.
This incident involved a fire in the roof space of a domestic property which spread to a neighbouring property. Fire service used 6 breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish fire. The Aerial Ladder Platform was also used.

At 14:41 on Tuesday, 17 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Minsterley.
7 fire appliances including the Landrover Pump, the Light Pumping Unit, the Water Carrier and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Bridgnorth, Church Stretton, Clun, Minsterley, Newport and Shrewsbury. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Beaters
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police, Shropshire Council and a utility company.
SFRS fighting a fire affecting 5 Hectares of woodland in an isolated woodland area known as the bog 6 major appliances and 50 firefighters in attendance.

5 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch, Prees and Shrewsbury. Operations, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Covering jet
- Hosereel jet
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service , the Police and Shropshire Council.
Fire involving a mid terrace property, which has caused a large amount of smoke logging in adjacent properties. 1 female suffering smoke inhalation and shock has been treated by ambulance. Crews are currently using 4 breathing apparatus, 3 main jets, 2 hose reel jets, two 9 metre ladders, 1 short extension ladder and small tools. The incident has been separated into 3 sectors. 20 residents are currently being evacuated.
