At 17:52 on Thursday, 1 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Shed Fire in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury. A Fire Investigation officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Small gear
• Thermal imaging camera
• Triple/Short extension ladder

This incident involved an amount of wooden pallets alight on yard which spread to shed. Crews extinguished using 1 hosereel jet and used a thermal image camera to check for hotspots.

Reports of a barn on fire, on arrival it was found to be a controlled burn. Crews dampened down using 1 hose reel jet
