At 20:34 on Sunday, 9 June, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire.

5 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Albrighton, Bridgnorth, Craven Arms, Much Wenlock and Tweedale. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Small gear

1 agricultural building 100% involved in fire.

House Fire

Hopton Castle, Craven Arms

At 12:36 on Sunday, 9 June, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Hopton Castle, Craven Arms.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Clun and Craven Arms.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

At 12:36 Fire Control received a call to a thatched roof fire at Hopton Castle, Craven Arms. Six pumps, the Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP) and an ISU were mobilised. Approximately 40 firefighters were involved in tackling the fire which is not believed to be deliberate. Crews used 2 main jets, 2 hose reel jets and 4 breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.

This incident involved 1 car 50% damaged by fire, believed to have been caused by an electrical fault. Crews used 2 hosereel jets and 2 breathing apparatus to extinguish fire. Fire investigation officer also in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service (FESS) and the Land Ambulance Service .

Crews are dealing with incident involving a fully developed fire in kitchen. Fire has been extinguished using 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 1 main jet.
