At 00:08 on Thursday, 14 April, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shrewsbury.

8 fire appliances including the Foam Pod and the Light Pumping Unit were mobilised from Albrighton, Baschurch, Clun, Craven Arms, Shrewsbury, Telford, Tweedale, Wellington and Wem. Operations, Hazmat, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• CO2 extinguisher
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Fire involving machinery within a commercial premises.

Fire involving small deep fat fryer in ground floor kitchen of two storey domestic property. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 dry powder, 1 hose reel jet and 1 covering jet, ventilation is now in progress. All occupiers were out of the property prior to arrival of Fire Service

Also at the scene of the incident were: the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service (FESS) and the Police.

Bedroom fire. 2 breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet were used to extinguish. Positive pressure ventilation now in use to clear smoke.

Smoke and flames issuing from property, crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet, with a covering jet to extinguish the fire. Then used positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate the property
