At 19:37 on Tuesday, 13 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smell Of Burning in Shrewsbury.
2 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Covering jet
- Hosereel jet
- Thermal imaging camera
Report of smell of burning within the property - crews investigating using four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, two thermal image cameras and a covering jet. Crews now removing fridges from bar area as this is believed to be source of smell of burning

Small fire contained inside Aga cooker, extinguished using dry powder extinguisher.

8 fire appliances including the Environmental Protection Unit and the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Albrighton, Baschurch, Prees, Shrewsbury, Tweedale, Wellington and Wem. Operations, Hazmat, Fire Investigation and Safety officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Portable pump
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.
Fire in commercial premises measuring 60m x 30m, fire located in winding room, 4 breathing apparatus, 4 hose reel jets used to extinguish. Fire Investigation carried out.

7 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .
Fire involving whole of 3 storey domestic property, approx. 5m x 10m, six breathing apparatus, main jets and hose reel jets in use. All persons are now accounted for. Damping down in progress.

5 fire appliances including the Heavy Pumping Unit were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Prees, Wellington and Wem. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

- Main jet
Approximately 300 tonnes of baled hay fully involved in fire. Fire now surrounded and a fire break in place. Two main jets in use from improvised dam and farm supply borehole. Fire believed to be deliberate. Any information please call 101 Relief crews continuing to attend at this incident
