At 04:41 on Friday, 19 April, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shifnal.

5 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit, the Light Pumping Unit, the Water Carrier and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Albrighton, Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury, Telford, Telford Central, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations, Hazmat, Fire Investigation, Safety, Principal and Specialist Advisor officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Fire involving one industrial unit measuring 30 metres x 30 metres. Crews using four breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and two main jets. Partial collapse of the building structure.

5 fire appliances including the Landrover Pump and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Albrighton, Bridgnorth, Telford Central, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations and Hazmat officers were in attendance.

• Main jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Fire involving one derelict building. Crews have been using three main jets to fight the fire.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Clun and Craven Arms. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Positive Pressure Ventilation
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

This incident was reported as an automatic fire alarm. However, on arrival, crews discovered a small fire in a domestic property. Property 100% smokelogged. Crews extinguished fire and cleared smoke logging with positive pressure ventilation.

Fire involving 1st floor room and roof space of a 2 storey domestic residential property measuring 10m x 30m. Extinguished using 4 breathing apparatus, 1 main jet and 2 hose reel jets. Thermal Imaging camera and positive pressure ventilation used. Fire investigation carried out.

Fire involving a residential nursing home measuring 40m x 20m. Fire in roof space of a ground floor extension. Property heavily smoke logged. All residents are safe.
