At 00:40 on Friday, 24 June, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Craven Arms.

5 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Church Stretton, Clun and Craven Arms. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Hosereel jet
  • Main jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Fire involving barn 9m x 4m containing 3 Caravans and a quantity of timber. 3 Hose reel Jets 1 Main Jet 4 Breathing Apparatus in use

At 19:22 on Wednesday, 1 June, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Craven Arms.

8 fire appliances including the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Church Stretton, Clun, Craven Arms, Ludlow and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Hosereel jet
  • Main jet

Barn fire containing approximately 50 tonnes of hay alight, electric to the barn has been isolated, crews are using four main jets, supplemented from hydrant and water bowser, and one hose reel jet 00:25 Two main jets now in use preventing spread of fire to adjacent farm buildings using defensive fireifghting

4 fire appliances including the Heavy Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Market Drayton and Oswestry. Operations and Hazmat officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Breathing Apparatus (BA)
  • Hosereel jet
  • Main jet

Barn approximately 7 x 10 mtrs involved in fire. 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 main jet in use.

5 fire appliances including the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Church Stretton, Craven Arms and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

One single storey barn measuring 25m x 20m containing approximately 200 bales of straw involved in fire. 2 hose reel jets, 2 breathing apparatus in use.

At 18:17 on Saturday, 12 March, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Ludlow.

4 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Cleobury Mortimer, Craven Arms and Ludlow. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Ground monitor
  • Hosereel jet

One stone barn of approximately 300 square metres, approximately 25% involved in fire. Cordon in place for safety due to the potentially unsafe structural integrity of the building and presence of small amount of agricultural chemicals.

5 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Bridgnorth, Church Stretton and Craven Arms. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Breathing Apparatus (BA)
  • Main jet

Barn Fire 250 tonnes of straw and hay well alight, crews are using four 45mm jets and 2 breathing apparatus damping down and will be delayed some considerable time
