Members are asked to receive the minutes of the Strategy and Resources Committee meeting, held on 30 January 2020, attached marked 6, and decide upon, the recommendations at items 5 and 7. The reports relating to those items are attached, marked 6a and 6b respectively. The recommendations at item 6 of the Committee minutes will be considered as part of item 11 on the agenda for this meeting. Please note that Appendices B and C to paper 6b (Capital Programmes 2020/21 to 2024/25, Treasury Management Statement and Capital Strategy) are exempt documents. It will, therefore, be necessary to move into closed session at this point to consider the recommendation relating to this appendix (paper 8).

| 07 | Exclusion of Press and Public |
Members have a discretion to exclude the press and public from meetings of the Fire Authority in defined circumstances. In view of the nature of business to be transacted, it is recommended that under Section 100 (A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, having been satisfied in all the circumstances of the case that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing this information, that Members formally resolve that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information, as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972. |
