On Sunday 2nd September Bridgnorth Fire Station and staff hosted the first Fire Fighters Charity motorcycle ride out to be organised in this region.
Around 60 motorcycles and riders from all over Shropshire and West Midlands gathered at the Station to register and enjoy some light refreshments provided by a local supplier in Bridgnorth, before setting out on the ride.
The pre arranged route took the riders through the beautiful south Shropshire countryside, before crossing into Worcestershire and on to the West Midlands and finished at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.
The weather held and all riders made it safely back to their homes after. The riders even managed to seen the station turn out as they received an emergency call while people were gathering.
Some sponsor money is still to be paid in, but currently the total money raised for the charity stands at £290.
