Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service has attended a serious collision on the A41 in Newport where a man has sadly died.
The Service was called at 8pm on Tuesday (28th May) to reports of a crash involving two vehicles. Crews from Telford, Wellington and Newport attended and found one of the cars was on fire.
Sadly, a man believed to be in his twenties died at the scene.
Fire Investigation Officer Adam Tempest said: “Our thoughts are with the man's loved ones during this tragic time. Firefighters remain at the scene to make the area safe while working closely with the police to investigate the circumstances around this incident.”
