At its meeting in December 2019, the Shropshire and Wrekin Fire and Rescue Authority (FRA) considered the draft Budget Strategy for 2020/21 and medium-term Financial Plan for 2020/22 to 2024/25.
A copy of the full paper presented to Members is available here.
The Authority would value your comments and suggestions in relation to its proposals.
Councillor Eric Carter, Chair of the Fire Authority said: “Although the Authority continues to make savings, some £450,000 for next year, and we have yet to receive confirmation of Central Government funding, the Authority cannot rule out seeking an increase in Council Tax.
“We would welcome comments from members of the public on the Budget report and what level of council tax increase they would be prepared to support.
“The feedback we receive will assist the Authority when it considers the final budget report at its meeting later this month.”
The Authority is scheduled to meet on February 12 to finalise the budget and set its Council Tax and precepts for 2020/21.
For your response to be fully considered and taken into account in preparing the final budget report, we would be grateful to hear from you by no later than 11 February.
