Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service is opening its doors at Much Wenlock Fire Station to show the public what it takes to be an on call firefighter.
The taster day will take place on Saturday 18 February at 9.30am until 10.30am. The event is open to everyone but we are keen to see more women attend to see if being an on call firefighter is for them.
The session will include:
Opportunities to try our fitness tests
A tour of the appliance bays and appliances
A demo from the crew
A question and answer session with the crew
A presentation on becoming an on call firefighter.
