Another very successful year fundraising by Clun Fire-fighters ended with a presentation evening at the town's Fire station with a total of £2350 handed out. Receiving the money were the Fire Fighters Charity (£950), Asthma UK (£700) and the Clun Mother and Toddler group (£700).

Money was raised at a variety of events during the year including car washes, stewarding at local events and a sponsored ladder climb, in which the crew climbed the equivalent height of Mount Everest up the 13.5 M Ladder. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who contributed or helped in any way.

This takes the total raised by Clun fighters for charity since 2001 to over £20,000.
Also on the same night a special presentation was made to Crew Manager Graham Dudley who has completed 30 years service (and still counting) with Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service.

He was presented with a certificate from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service by Group Manager Jim Quinn. A montage of photographs were put together and presented from the Clun crew. A bouquet of flowers was also given to Graham's wife Sandra.
