Registered voters throughout Shropshire will be able to participate in the European Parliamentary and English local elections taking place on Thursday 4th June 2009. Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service wish to bring to the attention of the electorate that neither the Service, nor its employees in a professional capacity, are aligned or supportive (or otherwise) to any political party or individual(s) standing for election.
It has been brought to the attention of the Service that one or more political parties are using images of Shropshire firefighters and fire engines within their campaigning publicity material. Such images are unauthorised for electioneering purposes and are used without the approval of the Service.
