Diversity Open Day at Shrewsbury Fire Station
Shrewsbury Fire Station will be the setting on Saturday (Oct 10th) for an open day aimed at celebrating diversity.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service says everyone is welcome to come along to the diversity open day between 10am and 1pm when visitors can enjoy a close up look at hi-tech, frontline fire-fighting appliances and tour the modern fire station.
There will also be a dramatic demonstration of what happens when a chip pan fire gets out of control.
A spokesperson for SFRS said: “October is packed full of events like Dyslexia Awareness Week, the Shropshire Rainbow Festival, Black History Month and Hate Crime Awareness Week.
“We have organized Saturday’s open day to celebrate all these events and to underline the fire and rescue services commitment to diversity.”
