Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service attended a report of a property fire at 01.53am Wednesday 2nd April in Bishopdale, Brookside, Telford.

Two appliances from Tweedale and one appliance from Telford Central attended. Fire Investigation and Scenes of Crime also attended the scene.

The fire is being treated as arson and a male has been arrested on suspicion of arson.

County landlords are being urged by Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service to ensure their properties are adequately protected with smoke detection.
