At 21:30 on Wednesday, 4 October, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue.
7 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury, Telford, Tweedale and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Attending crews used the following equipment:
Reports of a deer in the river- Crews carried out a thorough search of the river using torches and thermal imaging cameras, no animals were found

Request from Ambulance to assist at road traffic collision where car has rolled over. Fire crews used small gear to make vehicle safe. One female casualty was left in the car of the ambulance service. Police were also in attendance.

1 fire appliance including the Rescue Tender was mobilised from Ludlow and Wellington.
Incident involved one Spaniel dog trapped on rock face approximately 4 metres down from top of cliff. Thermal Image Camera was in use, and Animal Rescue Team and Fire Fighters used Rope Rescue Techniques and brought the dog to safety, safe and well and back in the care of the owner.
