At 12:59 on Monday, 1 April, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Positive Pressure Ventilation
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire in flat caused by air fryer. Crews used 1 hosereel jet and a covering jet to extinguish the fire and a positive pressure ventilation fan to assist in ventilating the property. 1 casualty assessed by ambulance crews.
