At 18:37 on Sunday, 8 May, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Telford.
2 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Positive Pressure Ventilation
Small fire involving microwave out on arrival, inspection only, positive pressure ventilation fan used to clear smoke logging in the property

Most kitchen fires occur when people are distracted or leave things unattended.
- Never use a toaster under a shelf or kitchen cupboard - pull it out from under the cupboard when in use.
- Don't hang wet or damp tea towels on the cooker to dry.
- Dirty grill pans and ovens cause fires. Help keep them clean.
- When using a microwave read the cooking instructions carefully, ensure you don't put in any metal objects.
- Kettles can cause serious burns from the steam, make sure you don't lean over the kettle when it'.s boiling.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

- Covering jet
- Hosereel jet
- Positive Pressure Ventilation
Smoke and flames issuing from property, crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet, with a covering jet to extinguish the fire. Then used positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate the property

House fire involving 2 storey domestic end of terrace brick built property measuring 5 x 10meters. Fire involving all of the ground floor. 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 1 covering jet used. Fire Investigation carried out.
