At 11:10 on Wednesday, 1 August, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in near Jackfield Bridge, Waterloo Street, Ironbridge .

4 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Wellington.

Report of persons in the river in Ironbridge, on arrival the incident was found to be a false alarm with no persons in difficulty.
