All students attending the programme fall into our most at risk group consisting of 16 to 25 year olds.

The final of this year?s county fire quiz organised by Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service will take place at Telford Fire Station on Tuesday, 24 April 2007.

All the county?s 11-year-olds have been brushing up their knowledge to answer a series of questions on a wide range of safety issues including how to stay safe with fire, water, on the roads and railways, how to deal with school bullies, facts on alcohol and tobacco, and what to do in an emergency. Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service will be attending the 'Rock Against Racism' event in the Square, Shrewsbury with their new Community Safety Outreach Vehicle.

Tina Grindley, Human Resources Officer, and Tony Barnes, Fire Safety Officer will be at the event to answer any questions you have about fire safety and recruitment.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service working in partnership with the Community Council of Shropshire, Bridgnorth District Community Safety Partnership and West Mercia Constabulary will be hosting a Community Safety Day at All Saints Church in Claverley on Saturday 2nd June from 10am - 3pm.

The event will take place from 10am-3pm and includes attendance from West Mercia Police, Shropshire Ambulance Service, the Camera Safety Partnership, RoSPA and the Institute of Advanced Motorists. more

On the 13th June Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service will be delivering a road safety education programme to over 300 students who attend Shrewsbury College of Art and Technology. All students attending the programme fall into our most at risk group consisting of 16 to 25 year olds.

The day will consist of 2 sessions lasting 1.5 hours incorporating a practical demonstration and an opportunity to learn more about the day-to-day work the emergency services carry out in the community. more

The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service annual Long Service and Good Conduct Medal Ceremony will be held at Shrewsbury Fire Station on Wednesday 21 March, 2007.

Medals will be presented to Fire Service personnel by the Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire, A E Heber-Percy.
