At the recent Operational Assessment of Service Delivery Workshops held in London and Manchester, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service offered to host a seminar on Retained Duty System issues if there was sufficient interest from the floor.

The offer was duly accepted and we are now pleased to be able to inform you that we will be hosting the event on the 12th July at RAF Cosford, Nr Albrighton Shropshire. more

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service working in partnership with the Mayor of Much Wenlock and Bridgnorth District Community Safety Partnership will be hosting a Community Safety Open Day at Much Wenlock fire station on Saturday 1 September from 10am - 3pm.

The event will take place from 10am-3pm and includes attendance from West Mercia Police, Shropshire Ambulance Service, the Camera Safety Partnership, British Horse Foundation and the Institute of Advanced Motorists.

On the 18th September Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service will be delivering a road safety education programme to over 1000 students between the ages of 11 and 16 who attend The Marches School, Oswestry. The day will consist of friendly and informative talks with students about road safety when they leave school.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service will be in attendance with their Community Outreach Vehicle which will have a variety of visual displays including posters and leaflets. more

On the 25th September Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service will be delivering a road safety education programme to over 500 students who attend Thomas Telford School, Telford. All students attending the programme fall into our most at risk group consisting of 16 to 25 year olds.

The day will consist of a session incorporating a practical demonstration and an opportunity to learn more about the day-to-day work the emergency services carry out in the community.
