With the recent heavy rain, motorists across West Mercia are being warned about the dangers of attempting to drive through standing water. They have linked up with a Shrewsbury electrical firm to carry out safety checks on individual blankets at fire stations in Telford, Whitchurch and Wem in October.
Police officers in Telford are investigating following a suspected arson incident in Dawley.
The incident occurred at an address on Lancaster Avenue early on Saturday 15th September.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 1.50am and two appliances from Tweedale and Telford Central attended the property.
