His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS) has published its report following an inspection of Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The inspectorate still focuses on three key topics; People, Efficiency and Effectiveness, however there are 11 areas which are graded.

There are now five possible grades: outstanding, good, adequate, requires improvement and inadequate.

The Service received one ‘good’ rating, three ‘adequate’, six ‘requires improvement’ and one ‘inadequate’.
